750ml bottle
8.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
Novembger 20, 2010
It was shared with fellow beerpal lenusik. The beer poured a hazy straw gold colour with a rocky off-white head fed by good effervescence. The aroma was soap, spice, yeast, citrusy hops, and malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. The flavour was yeasty, with some spiciness and malt, and a citrusy hop finish.

Very smooth and drinkable. Extremely so for a 8% beer. One of the smoothest beers I've ever tasted and bursting with flavours. Yeast, malt, lemon, pineapple. Very much like a souped-up witbier in my opinion. Beautiful!

It pours out a cloudy yellow like a Belgium should. The aroma is of malt, yeast and citrus. The mouthfeel is rich with just a tad of fizz. The taste has a very light hop note but it’s smooth made up from sweet malt.

A light cidery golden ale from Belgium, after as many as i have had it really doesnt seem all that special. A decent hop prescence, seems fairly tripel-ish. Tasty beer.

Sample I got fizzed quite a bit when I opened the bottle, but not so much that I needed a towel - just had to pour some out before it got messy. Aroma is fruity, yeasty and a bit woody, not strong but still appealing. Pours a nice clear bright solar yellow with a thick and fluffy, if none too persistent, white head. Flavor is better and stronger than what the aroma promised - fruity, malty, a little yeasty with a hint of butterscotch. Must be butterscotch. Texture is firm-bodied and a little syrupy; fizz is not strong but lasts, leaving a nice, fruity, tingly, slightly sweet finish. Worth ten bucks for 750 ml? Definitely.

Wish List beer! Snatched this one while last in oHIo @ Belmont Party Supply in Dayton. Light golden amber pour with a short-lived white head, big lacing, nice carbonation. Sweet fruit and yeasts aromas, very slightly funky, more ripe fruits, honeysuckle and some floral in the nose. Nice flavor - very slightly warming - blend of floral, hops, yeasts, fruits, good balance of hops to malt sweetness. Delightful beer - cool Gnome. Will revisit this one. Just as I expected.

Nice amber color with huge foam head, sticking to glass the way I like it. Drinks smoothly with good bitter and fruity aftertaste. Perfect beer. (Velp 201111)

pours a golden amber with a large, frothy, white head. Dissipates quite quickly, leaving a film. The aroma consists of candied fruit. orange, sugar, sweet malt, yeast and some spice. It's a wonderfully sweet aroma. The taste has sweet malt upfront, rather bready with some candied fruit in there as well, with orange, lemon and some green grape. White pepper and a general spicy taste. Alcohol noticeable. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, a bit thin. Strong carbonation.

About time I broke down and bought a bottle....so I did. Amazingly light and fluffy, very easy to drink as the strong abv content is not evident within this brew. Golden orange body with a fluffy white pillow of a head and thick lacing. Strong carbonation while it sparkles in the glass. Zesty citrus and coriander along with a playful grassy aspect. Fruity, mildly spicy and quenching. Very pleased overall with this brew, well put together while nothing screams for attention. Comforting all in all, if it were less expensive it would definitely be a go-to session Belgian ale for me.

One of the exemplary examples of a Golden Belgian Strong Ale. The Belgian yeast shines through nicely as well as the peppery spiciness. Golden hazed colour is perfect.
