Pale yellow, white lacing foam head. Aboslutely a normal, decent German beer, nothing wrong, nothing wow either. Just a notch on my beer list, that's all. (Velp 201502)

Pours a clear copper color with a light, fluffy head. Mild aromas of grassy grains with yeasty earth tones. Taste is rather unusual at first but after a few sips I got use to it. The grains have an almost sour taste to it, but after a few sips you find a mellow honey and grass taste.

Bought a 5-liter mini keg from a local store, and imbibed over a couple of days with Mrs. King. Truth be known, I'm more interested in the vessel than it's contents as it will be used for some cask conditioned home brewed English Bitter at an upcoming gathering and this full keg is only a few bucks more than an empty one at the local home brew shop so it's a no brainer for Kinger. (awesome run on sentence right!) Now onto the beer at hand. Multiple pours of a dark golden color with a nice foamy white head and fairly thick lacing. Very mild aroma and a light bodied brew makes for an easy drinking mini-keg. Grassy with a hint of lemon and clover. Throws down very easy and is rather lively. Standard Euro Pils.

From 5 liter mini-keg @ Bearden Beer Mrkt's Oktoberfest: golden yellow pour, nice tall white head, average lacing. Sweet aroma, too sweet for me, offset by very light floral hops, some wet malts. Taste is also a bit too sweet, caramel malts, mishmashed with almost stale hops, a bit earthy and floral. Wouldn't revisit this one.

Just an unremarkable beer from the start. The only Kulmbacher beer I've had was their eisbock, and it was outstanding. I wasn't hoping too much from this one, and there just wasn't anything here to really enjoy.

The beer pours out a standard golden yellow color, clear with a sudsy 2" thick white head. The head melted away just as quick as it poured. I've seen heads on a pour of Coke stay longer than this! Aroma is minimalistic. Light notes of grains, citrus with a bit of honey. Thankfully, nothing foul crept into this beer. Flavor is lightly hopped, dry with just a touch of malts (reminded me of corn). I'm sure there are worst offenders out there, but this one just didn't grab me like I hoped. Still, it was refreshing.

Please tell me that this beer taste better in Germany. This was not good in the Bottle and it was fresh. Skunked aroma, water downed body and a really bad skunk flavor.. YUK!

The mouthfeel helped this one a lot, having a perfect amount of carbonation i thought, out of my Warsteiner pilsner glass. Yep average looks, good smoothness, medium crisp. Aroma was pale and fresh. I got notes of apple, and a bit of buttery sweetness.

Typical looking German pils , pale yellow with a nice sized pure white frothy head. Slightly hoppy spicy aroma along with some bready maltiness. Malty taste to begin, semi-sweet, slight metallic, then a nice enough hop bite at the end.Ok on the palate. Nothing really to this one, a average very drinkable clean German pils.

4.9% in Finland, and sold as Kulmbacher Pils where I have seen it (only draught so far). Mailed the importer (Diamond Beer Oy) and they said it is indeed the Kulmbacher Edelherb Premium Pils. And the rating: Golden colour, with minor white head. Aroma standard pilsnerish, thought the malts have a very vegetably touch. Flavour also quite standard pilsener, malts and hops, and quite salty.

(5 liter minikeg, bought in Norway - ABV here is 4.5%. The ABV in Germany is supposed to be 4.9%. I think "Kulmbacher Premium Pils" is an alias of this beer. Not be be confused with the Kulmbacher Mönchshof Original). Typical pils golden colour, large head. Hoppy but not very strong aroma. Flavour is surprisingly malty, slightly sweeter and less crisp than the somewhat stronger EKU Pilsner which I prefer (also in a minikeg). Still, this is a rather tasty pilsener, miles ahead of the many tasteless "neutral" pilseners you get these days.
