Ruby reddish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is alcohol, plum and malts. Flavour is wineous, quite caramellish and malty. Hides ABV very well. Nice Baltic Porter.

RBESG 2006, Grand Tasting. ABV is 9%. Malt content 18.1% Plato. Dark reddish brown colour, moderate tan head. Lovely vinous sweet aroma, plenty of oak, chocolate and a moderate roastiness. Flavour is malty and moderately roasty with rye bread and chocolate notes. Another good Polish (Baltic) porter.

Colour looked initially quite light, I'd coin the term 'hot brown' but would settle somehow into the standard, muddy brown appearence. Little head. Aroma certainly in check - good! A great deal of that distinc Baltic chocolaty, tary, brandy like aroma. A light roastness with some alcohol present (only a little). A warm finish but no lasting aftertaste; no resonance. All the right parts but they just don't come together so well - or stay there as long as they should. I could use a little more of everything this beer has. I mean, smell is there - but turn it up! Flavour is there - but it leaves the mouth too quickly. No depth really, or pronouced roastness, a funny water too maybe? As it warmed it developed a weird cocoa like flavour. This one wasn't great but still tasty.
