Bottle poured a copper color with a medium white head with good lacing. Sweet, light hoppy aroma. Good mouthfeel. Flavor is a nice hoppiness along with a citrusy finish. Also had on tap while in Hawaii- much better from a tap.

Pours out a burnt orange color almost like tea. The aroma is of honey and tangerine. The mouthfeel is solid with just a slight hint of hop bitterness but over al smooth. The taste is of malt, spices and mild hops.

Copper yellow with light brown foam head. Aroma is dominated by hops, some citrus. Taste is nice bitter, little caramel. Aftertaste is lasting. (Velp 201306)

Just slightly edges out their Longboard Lager, mostly because of my affinity for hops. This is a very average pale ale though--light bitterness with the citrusy hops just edging out the malty sweetness.

Really let down by this pale ale, bottle date is less than a month in and there's just not enough hops to make this worthy. Burnished copper pour, foamy tan head and splotchy lacing. Soft and balanced mouthfeel which is really nice. A little bitterness to balance it out. Subdued hops throuhout, mild caramel and light toast. The malt profile is good, but it's severely lacking in hops to be a good pale ale.

Hazy dark copper color, no head. Aroma includes sugary caramel, alcohol, almond, pineapple. A little tang at the front of a very blended balance of bitter and sweet bread flavor, finishing just a little bitter. Blended is just the word I want, too: it's not contrast, juxtaposition, or a sense of contrast here. Alcoholic, heavy, not very sticky, low carbonation. Meh.

nice amber colored pour, with decent head that hangs around for a while. Has a nice fruit smell and a nice clean finish. Good for drinking on the beach on a hot day. hang loose.

Mar. 2010 - On tap in some casino in Las Vegas. Okay, it looked smelled and tasted like any other pale ale with some notable bready sticky notes. Not really clean tasting. Okay.

It pours an amber/burnt orange with thin white head and some lace. A fresh aroma of sweet malts, light hops, caramel, honey, citrus, and mild spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, rich, and full-bodied. Flavors of caramel malts, light hops, citrus, and mild spices. Excellent!

Very good brew, I had this on tap at Hooter's in St. Louis, MO. Poured a copper/orange color and had that unmistakable hops nose. Nice white head with a good amount of lacing. Strong hops flavor but not overwhelming...a good brew, and quite honestly the only thing they had on tap worth drinking. Needless to say the Fire Rock tap handle wasn't get much excerise...most folks were going for that over-rated swill...when will they learn?
