I just picked this brew up and it is new to Georgia and it looks interesting enough. The aroma is pleasantly sweet with some fresh maltiness coming through with some aromas of saaz hops. The appearance is a golden yellow with a decent fuzzy and white head on top that diminishes to a bubbly lacing that leaves lacing on the glass. The mouthfeel is light-bodied with quality balance and complexity with a palate that is wet-like and refreshing. The flavor is malty and sweet, perhaps a bit too sweet, with decent quantities of hops with an aftertaste that is crisp and very clean with a finish that holds true to the style and is rather tasty but could use more flavor. Overall, not a bad pils here and not as good as Pilsner Urquell but is easily very drinkable with good sessionability but may be a bit too sweet, nonetheless, not a bad offering here but I can't wait to try the dark lager they have.

Not too much going on here. Nose is metallic and slightly hoppy. Pours a cloudy amber with a thin white head that disappeates quickly. Taste is honey water with a little malt. Finish is astringent

While lagers really aren't my cup of tea (or beer), this was a good beer. A nice deep golden color, very clear, nice bubbles and a decent head. Aroma was lightly hoppy, grainy and a bit metallic too. Mouthfeel was pretty crisp. Flavor was okay with a crispness and bite to it, but it was a bit boring frankly. After about half was gone, I got super bored drinking it because it's just not my kind of beer. It had a metallic taste going down which I didn't like. Overall an above average beer. Nothing "Premium" about it though.

An excellent Czech pils, one of the best, IMO. A huge Saaz aroma filled the room when I popped this one. Grand loads of Saaz and Malt, this was obviously lagered long enough, as well, great melded and smooth character. Bubbly and acidic mouthfeel. Bravo.

One of the very few surprises from last night's 10th Annual San Diego Festival Of Beer. Maybe I was just simply dying for something new/different..., but I still think this was a pretty interesting Czech Pilsener just the same..

A bit stronger, bigger, maltier -- in a word, bolder -- than the ussual run-of-the-mill Lagers that are part of the Euro Green Bottle Club. This has both a nice Saaz bite from beginning to end, but also enough malt to give this something for the rest your mouth to enjoy, too.

Finishes clean, and not too filling -- but, at the same time, you don't feel like you've just had a glass of liquid air, either. Nicely drinkable.

I wouldn't mind keeping a sixer of this around, me'thinks. Recommended.

Medium gold color. Large rocky white head. Aroma is grainy, grassy and fruity. A medium bodied Pilsner. Malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of grassy and grain. Hops are slightly spicy. Nice pilsner, a little too sweet and there is a touch of harshness in the flavor, but still a very drinkable beer. Light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is sweet with a slight bitterness.

Very clean and effervescent, this lager pours yellow with crystal clarity and a good white head. Effervescence is amazingly active, with many small, dancing bubbles throughout. Aroma is light but enticing, with some sweet, citrusey notes blended well with very light hints of malt. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Flavor is a little sharp and astringent; bitter-hoppy and slightly metallic (oddly enough, I don't mean this in a bad way). Definitely has a lot of flavor, compared to the appearance. No thin-ness of character that plagues so many lighter-colored beers. Finish is clean and bitter. Definitely best sampled very cold. Overall, a very lively beer and a pleasure to partake of.

(500 ml bottle). Okay, I've figured out that the % in the name of Czech and Slovakian beers is NOT the ABV, but has something to do with the malt content. Well, 5.6% alcohol seems just right for this beer. A golden beer with a faint haziness and moderate head, and a grassy, yeasty and malty aroma and flavour that makes me wonder for a second if the beer is bottom or top fermented. Bottom fermented it is, but the Czechs would hardly call this "Special" a pilsener (it's brewed in Praha, too). But who cares? Great hops bitterness in flavour and aftertaste. I always like beers where the elements yeast (not too much), malts and hops are all clearly detectable. In other words, I like this beer a lot!

Sampled from bottle. Pours a very clear gold with a whipped egg white heas that left intricate lacing on the glass. Mild malt aroma and a rich, spicy euro malt flavor. Perfectly balanced, moderate carbonation, medium-bodied. A slightly sour, metallic aftertaste lingers. A well-made, easy-drinking lager.

A true bohemian pilsner, this beer has a much fuller body than it's American counterpart. It boasts a rich grain flavor with generous amount of saaz hops present in the bouquet and also providing a nice, bitter finish.
