330 ml bottle, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 5.8%. Hop is Target. Black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee, exotic woodwork, dark chocolate. The flavour is mid between dry and sweet, with distinct roast malts, strong coffee and dark bitter chocolate, also distinct bittering hops.

Dark ruby, almost black, small light brown lacing foam head. Coffee aroma, bitter coffee taste. Short lasting little bitter aftertaste. Quite a nice beer. (Velp 201410)

I had this beer at Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen, DK. This beer was a REAL treat in my opinion. This took me back to my vacation in London a few years ago. This was the quintessential porter. In my mind, it ranks among the greats - Harvey's of London comes to mind.

Bottled (from the Kernel, London). Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is leather earth, some mild smoked notes and some roasted notes. Some floral and fruity notes as well. Horrible mix. Flavour is roasted malts, toasted notes, toffee and mild yeasty notes.
