We are very excited to introduce Edition Two of our "KB Signature Series". Each Edition is perosnally handcrafted by our brewmaster to create a truly enjoyable experience. Developed in collaboration with the famous Chocolatiers at Purdy's, our KB Double Chocolate ale is made exclusively with their extra-dark premium chocolate both in the preparation of the recipe and again just before fermentation. Expect a clear, deep mahogany colour, with a light-bitter-sweetness and a pure chocolate aroma topped by a light ring of tan head. A special thanks to the fine Chocolatiers at Purdy's for helping us create another truly unique KB Signature Series - Edition Two.

Iv'e been storing this since Dec 2007 (has it really been that long?). Bomber came in a nice paper box, although not as nicely wrapped as Edition One. Poured a dark ruby with a miniscule tan head. The aroma held lots of not-bitter chocolate. Mouthfeel was very smooth yet not as robust as I'd have liked. Flavour was also very chocolatey, not bitter, and also had a hint of coffee. Mild finish. Mouthfeel became thicker as the bottle warmed. Not a brilliant beer, but better than the previous rendering.

650 ml bottle, came in a white box - very nice packaging. I have had a few really good chocolate beers and was really expecting a lot from this one. Poured a clear, dark, mahogany brown color with lots of carbonation. Slightly off-white head with good retention, left a thin sheet of lace. Some malt smell, very thin chocolaty aroma, but not much there. Pretty weak flavor, some chocolate but quite thin. The body was watery and almost flat. I too found this to be dissapointing. No real chocolate flavor, thin, boring. Not sure if this was a bad bottle, past its prime, or if this is as good as it gets.
