Natural cloudiness, full aroma and spicy taste, a typical Franconian beer. A bright orange colour shimmers in the glass, above it lies a fluffy, white foam with a firm consistency. The naturally cloudy beer subtly smells of malt and freshly roasted white bread. A soft palate is surrounded by an elegant sweetness that balances perfectly with a discreet hoppy bitterness.

500 ml capped bottle, as " Bürgerbräu Bamberg Kellerbier " with a 4.8 % ABV. Poured in a Franconian Seidla an unfiltered and hazy golden-orange coloured Kellerbier with a two fingers slightly beige, fine, dense and pillowy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is sweety malts, caramel, bready, notes of hay and honey. The flavour is yeasty, sweety grainy malts, corn and candy. The mouthfeel is thin and sweety. The texture is oily. This light to medium bodied Kellerbier has a dry sweety malts finish. A cheap purchase, not really bad but not convincing.

Darkish foggy yellow color with huge white top. Aroma is nicely smoky and hoppy with distant notes of wood and ash. Taste is a bit lame and weak, but leaves nice bready aftertaste in your mouth.

500 ml can, unfiltered, from Dagli’brugsen Skødstrup, Denmark. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, large white head. Malty and grainy aroma, sweetish notes of baby porridge. The flavour is also malty and grainy, but not too sweet. Drinkable when cold. However, both aroma and flavour are nearly void of hops. What the hell - is there a hop shortage in Germany now?
