2018 Description We used 5 malt and five hop varieties from Europe and North America to give Conductor’s a biscuity, toasted, caramel base, and a dry and bitter taste with a light bitter finish. Floral and citrus notes come from our hopback mechanism that infuses the hop aromas into the beer in line from the kettle as the beer goes into the fermenter. Conductor’s Craft Ale is inspired by traditional ales that “traveled well” when life was more about the journey than the destination. 2013 Description Conductor's Craft Ale fits broadly into the pale ale category, though we think of it more as a hybrid of traditional British, German, and American brewing techniques used to arrive at a hop complexity that constantly changes in the glass as it warms up and a drinker drinks more. With Conductor's we wanted to tip our hats to "pioneer" craft beers like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Anchor Liberty Ale, but at the same time the beer had to be balanced and drinkable to allow a drinker to enjoy more than one. We used 5 different malts from Germany, France, Britain and Canada to give Conductor's a biscuity, toasted, caramel base, and a combination of 5 different hops from Germany, the Czech Republic and the Pacific Northwest of the USA. To finish the beer we designed and built in-house a "hopback" mechanism that infuses the hop aromas into the beer in line from the kettle as the beer goes into the fermenter. We use whole leaf hops of Cascade and spicy German Tetnanger in the hopback to provide a unique and intense hop aroma that is familiar but uniquely presented. Sometimes a lot of thought goes into making something simple and enjoyable. The way we look at it, we do the thinking so you can relax and enjoy the drinking. ABV: 5.2% IBU: 32

Can. Colour - clear light reddish-gold colour, huge frothy off-white head, nice lacing from start to finish. Aroma - cereal malts, spices, light citrus, light pine, and maybe some grass. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, well carbonated. Flavour - Non-descript....there are weak malty notes up front, and a not so bitter hop finish. Nothing strong here at all

Pours a large foamy off-white head, gives thick patchy lacing. Has an amber appearance. Has toasty and bready malt aromas, with light notes of earthy and resin hops. Not really bitter at all, mostly in the finish. Flavours are sweet malts, nutty and toasty. Hops are less noticeable, mainly some light floral notes with a bit of spices. Slick and mildly astringent mouthfeel. Has a bit of that rusty taste. Not bad.

Nice amber colour with thick tan head. Nice balance of malt an hops. Malty aroma, with a nice hoppy aftertaste. I was pleasantly surprised by this beer, I enjoyed them.

Single can from the LCBO. Pours a rich amber colour with a huge frothy, off-white head, good retention and soapy lacing. Interesting aromas of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), cereal grains, caramel malts and hints of soap. Wet and oily mouthfeel, but the hop dries up the finish and lingers a bit. Watered-down grain with the spices in the background and that hop that keeps on creeping up, more-and-more as I consume. The bitterness gets stronger, but there is notes of fruits to balance things. Quite interesting, but would not drink more than one in a night.

On tap @ Milos Beer Emporium: pours a burnished gold color, with a small white cap that does not last long. Aroma is lightly fruity with citus and sweetness. Flavor follows aroma - lightly sweet, lightly hoppy, clean fast finish - inoccuous bordering on bland. Nothing really stands out here. An entry level craft ale at best.

500ml draught

I tried this beer on draught on October 21, 2011 at "Bar Volo" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer arrived a translucent ruby red colour with a 1" white cap that lingered. The aroma is grainy malt, a hint of caramel, some floral hops, and a weak spiciness. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt and some graininess
