This is one of the several beers I sampled when visiting the J.T. Whitneys in Middleton, WI on my "Boozin Across Wisconsin Tour 2008". It came as part of an 8 piece sampler set that I purchased.
This one was a huge disappointment in my book. By the looks of the beer sitting on the table it looks somewhat inviting, but it soon goes down hill from there. The beer has a clear, pale amber color to it with a small white head to it that quickly disappears. There is virtually no aroma that I could pick up on. I thought that was kinda weird.
Moving on to the mouthfeel, I guess I would call it average. Only problem is that I couldn't really determine how good the mouthfeel was because my tastebuds picked up on some diacetyl properties and I was immediately turned off. I wasn't even able to finish the sample.
Bottom line, this one is gross. Not sure if it was just a bad batch or if this was the intended flavor of the beer. I do not recommend this one at all. -

A little dissapointing feature from J.T. Whitney: pours a straw yellow colour with a small, thin white head. Aroma is a little odd- aromas of corn, stale hops and grain. Taste is off dry, tart midpalate finishes slightly watery.

Not a very attractive pour - pale dishwater yellow with a very thin disapperaing head. The nose is very light as well. It's only the description of the ingredients - wheat, barley, rye and honey that promises the complexity that is realized in the taste. Light bodied, refreshing and crisp, with fresh grain flavors that are well-melded and satisfying.
