Tasted like regular labatts but in red amber. Mix of corn malt and a hint of hopsIt drinks quite nicely but I found it to be nothing special One thing that I did notice was that I did not get a headache after this which is common for me. Yep it only usually takes one for me to get a Labatt headache

A Canadian beer for the American market....and they can keep it. A copper coloured beer that has a sick sweet malt aroma and even sicker sweet malt taste. The head lasted longer than on most Labatt's products howevger.

This beer poured with a copper colored body filled with ruby highlights and topped by a thin off white head that left little to no lace. The aroma is mild with some nutty sweet malts. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with light carbonation. Flavor is slightly sweet with caramel malt and some faint hoppy bitterness. Clean Finish.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 11.5oz bottle into a pint glass. Appearance: It has a deep reddish amber color body with good clarity. The head is thin and white in color. Its head fades out quickly leaving no lacing behind. Smell: The aroma has sweet caramel and malty notes with some grainy cereal notes as well. Taste/Mouth feel: The flavor is rather simple, thin and light. It is similar to the aroma with a sweet cereal grain and light caramel malt. Hop flavor is light and grassy. It adds a good bit of bitterness as well as some metallic notes to the finish. The body is light and its texture is thin with a sort of light fizzy carbonation. Notes: Overall it is rather bland in my opinion.

LABATTS RED AMBER LAGER S5L4F3T6012 My twist off bottle says John Labatt Red Amber Lager. Smells better than most labatt beers, has a bit more quality and perhaps it’s a little more volatile to the olfactory. This makes me think it’s above 5%. Much darker than expected. Unhazy dark brown maroon pour. No head. Smooth initial taste sensations. Gentle yet has enough personality to say it’s more than a pale lager. Certainly more than a wishy-washy lager by anybody’s standards. On par with many Michelob dark lagers. Nice shadowy lager. Could easily drink many of these in a session. Good experience. Likable brew which does not get under yer skin. Finish is not bitter and it can be affable.
