This one was most noticeably high in alcohol and did indeed have a "warming" effect. Still had a nice beer taste (didn't become wine-like) and retained that great Belgian character with all sorts of stuff going on (too complex for this novice to dissect). Too bad I stopped enjoying the fresh growler as the Eagles tanked in Superbowl 39.

This was the last beer in a sampler that I had at the Springfield, PA brewpub. Red-amber color. Some lacing. Decent sized head. Very sweet, estery, banana, fruity, and belgian candi flavor. Some alcohol warming. Full body.

Springfield... Poured a hazy copper color with a medium sized, off white head that left spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, dried fruits, clove, banana, and cherries, with light roastiness. Aroma was very dubbelish. Herbal taste of dark fruits, yeast and alcohol was barely noticed. Slick mouthfeel. Could have been more flavorful.
