Amber colored with lasting off-white foam head. Aroma is weak malty and some yeast. Taste is very nice low caramel with some slight bitter hop. Aftertaste is short but nice bitter. Pleasantly surprised by this beer. (Lyon 201207)

Nice amber color and stable white foam. Aroma has some hints of hazelnut, cookies and bread in it. Taste is strongly reminding of nice creamcake and ending is smoothly dry.

Missed my flight home after getting wrecked on this stuff. Nice amber coloured beer, with good carbonation. Biscuity and fruity flavours. Drink with care

The aroma is very bready and very malty with some hints of sweetness and is very aromatic and pleasant. The appearance is a glowing ruby-brown when held to the light with some haziness and a head on top that is full and a light-tan in color and diminishes to a creamy lacing. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with good malty complexity and bready balance with a palate that is wet-like and smooth. The flavor is oaky, leathery, of licorice, malty, sweet, of figs, and bready with an aftertaste that has some slight bitterness and sour and a finish that is wet and round as well as creamy and not bad. Overall, an interesting brew here for sure and is very malty and bready with not much to speak of in the hoppy department.

Six-pack. Gift from France. Very nice beer. My first Biere de Garde. Very tempting, clear dark amber color, fluffy dense creamy foam. Solid and intense aroma - rich malty, sweet caramel, some alcohol; pleasant one. Watery, rich, oily and spicy in a mouth. Fine malty flavor with some hops in a nose, fruity and caramel. Spicy, rich and well balanced. Ineteresting and original beer. Very pleasant, solid, and just extraordinary.

This pours a medium amber with a decent head. Caramel dominates the malt flavor, and it's slightly musty. There are lots of apple skins in the flavor. Not a bad beer.

500 ml can, bought in France. ABV is 7.5%. Deep amber colour, nearly clear. Large off-white head. Pleasant malty aroma with notes of aromatic hops, leather and oak. Malty and oaky flavour with tolerable hops, notes of toffee and caramel. Not bad at all for a canned beer!

Amber coloured with a creamy nice head. Sweet aroma of fruit along with notes of malt and hops. Malty taste with hints of fruit and honey. Finish is a bit bitterish, but overall a nice beer.

Poured a cloudy amber with medium white head. The aroma is of yeast and malt. The flavor is malty with a nice level of sweetness. The beer is very smmoth and would go well with poultry
