Pour looks great--almost black with a medium sized chocolate head. I guess I'm just not a fan of smoked beers since the aroma is just too much for me to handle. The smoke aroma carries over into the flavor and is a big turn-off for me. Just not my thing.

This is another sampling at MacGregors. A truly tasty beer poured a dark brown with nouget colored head and plentey of lacing The mouth feel was smooth The flavor was rich with smoke, coffee and nutty flavors coming through in a good balance.

Ok, you can ask my friend Upstate Dave what I usually think of darker beers. This one knocked me off my feet. The aroma is nice and smokey (reminded me of crisp bacon). The taste has a smokey flavoring that was not at all strong or bitter. I was very impressed with this and think it is the best that Ithaca has to offer. Highly recommended!
