Ever since we started brewing, we have always aimed to brew a “pure” and “clean” American Pale Ale. At Ise Kadoya, we capitalize on the characteristics of the Cascade hops by balancing the sweetness, body and bitterness of the aroma. We were very fortunate to be recognized by beer professionals with an award at the Australian International Beer Awards in 2003. Because we only use Cascade hops in our Pale Ale, the aroma differs slightly from batch to batch based on the particular characteristics of each years’ harvest. We invite you to enjoy the wonderful aromas and flavor that only Cascade hops can deliver.

Sampled on 8/11/2012. This American Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 500ml bottle. Medium to full sized white foamy head. The aroma is malty, herbal and sweet, citrusy and grapefruity. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Decent carbonation. Some yeast floating around. A touch hoppy fpr a pale ale, yet there is still a bunch of malt in this one. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Bottle shared by Robert at SL, what a guy! The pour was pale with a hay-straw type color. The aroma was corney, some piney type hops. The flavor was metallic, watery, oxidized, corn-lager like. Odd for a pale ale, travelled not well? Dunno. The mouthfeel was light and not very clean.
