Pours a dark copper colour with ruby-amber highlights. The head is beige, long lasting with good web-creamy lacing. Lots of chocolate and cocoa powder aromas. Hint of spices, caramel and vanilla. Flavours of roasted malts with mild nuttiness. Some alcohol and grassy hops in the finish. Lightly different for the style, but quite good overall.

330ml bottle from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy tan head but doesn't stay around very long. Has a very dark brown appearance with reddish highlights. Decent sticky lacing. Aromas of barley, light roasted malts, earthy and resin hops. Flavours are mostly roasted malts, notes of chocolate and hints of coffee. Some light spices in the finish. Slick and somewhat oily mouthfeel. Average retention and carbonation. Not too bad.

Pours dark brown with an almost non existent head and even less lacing. Sweet roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Flavour is fruity, brown sugar, roasted malt, chocolate and burnt caramel. Watery mouthfeel. Wouldn't buy again.
