This Porter has been matured over oak infused with a fine Scotch Whisky to give it its unique depth and complexity. It is brewed using I&G malt which together give the brew an almost burnt sweetness. like roasted coffee beans and cocoa. The hops complement with their earthy freshness. A great winter warmer, bursting with rich flavour and aroma.

Brown bottle. Pours a clean, dark cola colour with a nice creamy-frothy beige head, good retention and lacing. Aromas of raisins, caramel and nice smokiness. After breathing for a while, big banana notes and hints of wood take over the darker fruits. The dark fruit (prunes) does stay in the flavours with a little metallic hop finish, adding some light dryness. Pretty sweet overall, so would be hard to drink a few of these. Great stronger porter though.
