Night Vision pours silky and dark with nose that gives soft hints of Grade A maple syrup and sweet chocolate; finished by late additions of vanilla and cinnamon. The roasted malt gives off a nice coffee note with earthy undertones from the hops.  It's rich, roasted and robust yet easy on the palate.

Pours rich coffee with a fairly thick tan head. Aroma presents roast malt, vanilla, maple, spicy and woody hop tones. Flavor offers roast malt, mocha, vanilla, maple and earthy character, while the hops and spice are a bit shy. Mouthfeel delivers so-so body but some good fizz. Talkin’ ’bout the night vision.

From Total Wine, Scottsdale. I wasn't really looking for porter this day, but I WAS glad to get a beer from Virginia. Solid black headless pour. Decent aroma, with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Solid mouthfeel. LOTS of coffee here for the palate, plus the dark chocolate and some maple syrup. A worthy effort, even though I'd already had 9 IPA's earlier that day.
