not the best aroma - something fruit in it? little bit sweet taste while dinking. light taste. western style beer. not very interesting. but leaves quite nice bitter taste after drinking. dense beer cap/foam when not overchilled. no need of tasting again.

Pale, weak thin beer with a grassy aroma and taste. Not what I was expecting and I'm starting to not trust many of these Euro brews. Very skunky and would not recommend to anyone.

Another premium lager that is grossly mislabeled in an attempt to get the masses to believe that it is something that it is not. Another pale gold Euro lager that has very little in the way of aroma outside of grassy malt and a flavour to match.

The beer pours a translucent metallic gold colour with a generous white head. The aroma is slightly metallic as well, with a little malt character. The mouthfeel is watery with some carbonation. The taste is very grassy. Too grassy for my liking. -

Decent clear yellow colour with the smallest ammount of unfilterd gunk, small white head that survives only as a skim. It has a nice sweet aroma of apples and malts with a light ammount of skunk - over very appealing. There is a sharp bitterness when cold which is not overpowering, sour apples and seemingly better than average malts. Good solid taste throughout. Light bodied. The sides and bottom of my tongue got hit by good tanginess. There is a small ammount of sharp bitterness that has decent staying power. I like this stuff and it's been on my regular rotation for years.

Very average beer. It poured pale yellow in color. The flavor was alright but there wasn't much happening. Tastes just the same as hundreds of over beers out there already.

500 ml can, as Holsten Premium Lager. ABV is 5.0%. Golden colour, moderate head. Standard pale lager aroma, grassy notes. Flavour has first some sweetness, then a certain bitterness takes over, metallic notes. Not a great beer by any means, but as international pale lagers go: I’ve had worse.

I think it almost tastes a bit sour rather than bitter, and has a bit of a burnt plastic aftertaste to it. the white bubbly head went very quickly. But its a fair drink, got it real cheap at the shop for a full import.

So this beer came in to position from some of my girlfriends friends, we invited them over for supper and they knew I liked the fancy beer, so they picked me up a sixer of Holsten Premium, oh ya SCORE!!!!!!!!! “Brad they lady at the counter said this was the best, its there premium beer” Oh my fawking god nothing that say’s premium on it is worth drinking. This so called premium beer looks crystal clear and extremely light colored gold, almost no color at all with just the tiniest skiff of snow white head floated on top. And after this evening of drinking Holsten Premium and all the empty bottles where on the counter the kitchen smelt like there had just been a skunk orgy taking place, this crap stinks of skunky hops, and chemically produced malts. Taste is SKUNK with some bitter hops and some malty goodness, but there is a chemical taste in here and can’t figure out, bleach maybe?!?!?!? The after taste is a sickeningly sweet apple that lingers for days. This stuff is German swill shipped over to compete with are North American swill, but I have had worse.

Not a bad beer, but compared to the very subtle creemore springs i just had, its like a sledgehammer. Very strong hoppy attack and a lingering aftertaste. You can taste both the malt and the hops but there not very strong.
