Reminds me of an amber or lighter brown, but of higher alcohol strength. Maybe a little less malt than most Oktoberfests, but the styles are similar. Mostly caramel malt in flavor and aroma. Ok to sample a single, but there are better out there.

Not bad, not bad. A bit bready and sweet. The aroma has a hint of yeasty spiciness that the flavor does not. A good example of the style, but not quite a standout. Crisp and clean...cleaner on tap it seems. Good fall beer.

Pours a light amber in color with a crystal clear appearance with a small off white head with decent retention and no lacing left behind. The aroma is a bit on the light side with notes of herbal hops, esters, clove, bready sweetness, and faint grains and fruits. The taste of faint alcohol comes through just slightly in the beginning with bready, yeasty, and some grainy flavors that come across as sweet and a bit syrupy at the finish and linger with a slight bitterness. The mouthfeel is moderate and zesty carbonation, medium bodied and a bit syrupy. It leaves the mouth feeling a touch dry.

It pours a burnt-orange/amber with thin white head and copious lace. An aroma of caramel malts, tea leaves, light hops, some lemon, honey, and mild spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, light hops, tea, citrus, honey, and mild spices. Good stuff!!

Think I got a bunk sixer, aroma of sweet sticky malts with metallic hints. Body is amber, and despite a vigorous pour not any head to speak of. Flavor is bland with some malt and a bitter presence. By reading some of the other reviews it seems to be really hit or miss, and this one missed. However i might give it another shot one day.

Pours muddy brown, decent head, some lacing. Aroma smells of very sweet, perhaps past it's prime, fruits. Sweet caramel flavor, some honey, vanilla, and a sharp fruity note but not in a good way. There's a sweet, skunky taste that lingers a little. One of three things happened here, the bottle is old, I'm starting to get spoiled, or it's just not very good. Who knows.

Wow, this was tastey! Sitting right behind Capital Brewery's maibock, but a close second. Dark clear, amber colour small off white head. Aroma is slightly nutty with a hint of carmel. Soft bread malts, with a citrusy, almost lemon like finish. very nice!

This one pours with a cloudy amber color. Not much to a whitish head. Not much I could distinish in the nose. Some bitter sensation to the nose. Bready-slight chocolate taste. Goes down nice with a slight hopppy notation. Went fairly well with a pizza. Probably a good complement to bread and cheese

    My first officially documented Maibock,

Pours a dark golden maple syrup-brown...

good honey, malt, fresh baked cookie aroma...

has a very nice bitterness level...

    nicely balanced...

an enjoyable brew that works well in many levels...

i can see this as a staple in a bock lovers fridge...

i will buy afew bottles for my grandpa and uncle (dutch-german backgrounds), bcuz i know they would love this!

This one may be a little tough to review because my the one I had was skunked. Green bottles are never a good thing, especially for an import! Anyway, I digress, aside from whatever skunkiness we experienced, this Maibock had aromas of fresh malts. The flavors were lacking somewhat. Again, I am finding it hard to be subjective here because the beer was spoiled. The amber hue and the off white cap were nice though! NOTICE: Due to the skunkiness of my sample of this beer, this review is subject to change.
