Pours light orange with a thin head and medium effervescence. Aroma is clean and fresh, with hoppy and fruity notes. Mouthfeel is very crisp, but soft. Flavor is unique, bright and citrusey with little of the standard malt/hop presence. No noticeable aftertaste. I think this may actually be my favorite Japanese beer to date. Very nice!

11.2 fl. oz. bottle, from Vinmonopolet. BB date 01.2014. ABV is 5%. Golden colour, only slightl hazy (some sediment remained in the bottle), moderate to low white head. Moderate aroma of coriander, nutmeg and orange peel. Fairly refreshing flavour, medium dry, wheaty with notes of coriander, nutmeg and some orange peel / citrus. Pleasant to drink - I have a somewhat fresher bottle too, but this one seemed to have kept well. Might buy again.

The beer pours a nice golden color, very cloudy, and capped with a snow white creamy head. Lacing is decent. Aroma is wheat and citrus with hints of coriander and banana in the mix. Mouthfeel is light to average. Flavor is a little on the spicy side with coriander, although the wheat and citrus do shine through as well.

Foggy pale colour with lots of stable froth. Taste is really nicely crispy with lots of citruses, cookies and buns. After taste is really rich and beer leaves amazingly good after taste of orange in your mouth.

Aroma is crisp, malty, slightly fruity, very like a good pilsner. Appearance is nothing special - typical clear golden yellow, average white head that does not hang around. Flavor, however, is better than expected - typically malty but well-rounded with fruity hints and just a touch of hops and a whisper of sweetness. Texture is pleasantly tingly and has a good firm consistency.

Bright yellow, quickly dissipating head. Clear & bubbly with bits of yeast. Sweet & sour grassy aroma, yeasty, maybe a little earth & light fruit. Sweet & yeasty flavor, earthy & wheats, no detectable spice. Thin & wet with large bubbles. Good, but overpriced.

Pours a murky light yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, spices, and yeast. Taste is much the same with a fruity flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

A little more floral and herbal, especially in the nose, than is typical of a wit. Unique for that reason, but otherwise forgettable, and a little overpriced.

pours a slightly cloudy, dull yellow tone and yields a small white head that dissipates quickly and doesn't have much lacing. The aroma is led by citrus (notably lemon zest) with coriander and some yeast evident. The taste follows the aroma with an added bit of wheat grain and some floral/herbal/earthiness and has a subtle sourness to it. The finish is largely clean. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied.

So this was the first beer I tried of the night, figuring it would be the lightest and wanted to taste as much of it as I could. Big dissapointment. Pours a cloudy golden colour, pretty big head. Aroma is pleasent, nothing too special. Mouthfeel was well carbonated and creamy. But flavor was just not there. Very week, very little spice and it came across as plain as the Point St. Benedicts White Ale.

Second offering that I had from this Japanese brewery, purchased at the LCBO. Other than the normal coriander and orange peel, nutmeg is listed in their description on the back label. Then, the ingredients are listed just below, and it says spices and orange juice. OK ?? Best before: 2011.09. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a white head, decent retention and lace. The smell is not bad, well-balanced between the spices and the orange (juice or peel ??). Pretty refreshing mouthfeel when cold. Taste is nicely mixed as well (between the orange - things - and spices). Also says on back label "Please enjoy the soft and flavorful taste". I am.
