Bottle from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy, creamy tan head and has an amber coppery appearance. Slightly excessive carbonation. Decent sticky lacing. Aromas of toasty malt, pine, earthy and grassy. Hints of caramel. Flavours are mostly malty, sweet, a little bit woodsy, pine, caramel malt, dried fruit, spices. Some mild hop bitterness on the palate. Medium bodied. Drying mouthfeel. Has kind of a rusty like finish as well. Not too bad overall.

A very prefumey IPA, likely from both the hops and the cedar. Interesting blend of flavors...at times a mess and at times very tasty. Not one I'd want all the time, but this has a place.

pours a orange amber with a small foamy white head that leaves good lacing. The aroma starts with some light, floral hops along with some good pine bitterness and a touch of citrus, grain and spice. The taste is light pine taste with hops and bitterness with an almost perfume like secondary aroma. There is some fruit in there as well, perhaps some apricot and there is some cedar too towards the end. The mouthfeel is smooth, refreshing feel to it and carbonation was low with a medium body and a dry finish.

Aroma is typically malty with a firm hoppy and woody undertone and a touch of fruit. It pours a clear golden amber with a fairly thick off-white head. Malty flavor has appreciable hoppy and fruity notes and just a hint of hop bitterness. Smooth flavor has about average body and a good amount of ragged fizz. Though not spectacular, still an enjoyable brew.

From Firefly. Poured an average-sized ivory head over a cloudy, dark orange body. Floral, hoppy nose and a nicely balanced hop/malt flavour. Smooth mouthfeel.. Interesting beer.

Bottle: Pours a hazy amber color with a, rich sticky firm head that lasts and laces. . Pungent earthy kent hop and cedar aroma over substantial cara malts. Moderately sweet with big marris otter malting....medium bodied Densely malty and well balanced with kent goldings and a unique woody cedar character. Fruity, mellow and elegantly boosy with pine-resinous bitter finish. A great rendition of a UK IPA with mind melting innovations that make it so damn tasty, rounded, mellow and drinkable. If this were available all the time It would be my go-to IPA

This beer pours a deep, cloudy golden amber with yeast suspended throughout and produces an excellent, thick head, an indication of its prodigious carbonation. Unfortunately, the aroma was a bit lacking, more for its lack of presence than its specific qualities. There is a pleasant, slight cedar-scented hops scent, but it’s more sweet than strong. Fortunately, the beer has more depth of taste than smell. There are some nice hoppy notes and a unique flavor that is rather hard to place. It’s woodsy and bitter, which comes out pretty well-balanced. There’s not quite enough of the hops for me, but the flavor is definitely interesting and enjoyable. The feel is quite good as well. The beer is well-carbonated, but the bubbles don’t prick much at the tongue. It’s a a fine, calm carbonation, which adds to the flavor well.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Deep golden to amber colour, slightly hazy, big off-white head. Pleasant aroma of flowery and fruity hops, hints of cedar wood. The flavour has first a substantial malty sweetness with some notes of caramel and wood, followed by a distinct hoppy bitterness in the finish and a wormwoodlike bite in the aftertaste. An unusual balance of the flavour elements, but quite good.

Pours out in a deep cloudy amber colour with a rich sticky white foam. Well-rounder and white hoppy aroma of cedar and orange-peels. Medium to full-bodied with notes of grapefruit, cedar-wood, spices and orange-blossom. Solid yet really rounded smooth mouthfeel. Long medium-bitter finish of cedar-wood and orange-peels.

Deep gold, light amber color with a wispy foamy white head, good lacing. Very interesting nose, the cedar gives a spicy, peppery aroma. Smooth, full, dry mouthfeel. Flavors of ginger, wood and flowers with a very dry, slightly bitter finish. a VERY unusual and interesting version of the IPA style. MUSIC: When Water Comes to Life by Cloud Cult
