A bright orange colored beer with a big sudsy textured off white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles into a thick ringlet. The aroma is spicy. The tasting follows with that spicy pepper and herbs with a bit of lemon citric hops thrown in. Medium bodied.

Pours a nice yellow amber with no head to think of. Very well carbonated this one is. Aroma is spicy and soapy with hints of light hops. Taste is very spicy with hints of pepper and lemon. Finishes off dry and sticky with a light lemon flavor. Not half bad.

Not quite what I expected. A minty flavor with maybe a hint of pepper. That upon second try says loud and clear - mace, you know the peppery rind of a nutmeg. Doesnt have the gruff saison yeast I would expect, smooth instead. Nice head. Last year I tried this to and the bartender at hinterland said, "You'll like this one its soapy." That's like handing someone a slice of pizza and saying, "You'll like this one, its got an axle grease flavor." And last year it did taste like lemon soap, but this year, more refreshing, not a hint of lemon or soap. Very good.

Had this for the first time at a small tasting in Green Bay so I picked myself up a couple to share with others. Pours a hazey, orange with a generous white head. Aroma is spicey, some obvious citrus notes and herbs on the nose. Taste is spicy again, finishes very fruit and very smooth.
