Shirley Mae (1936 - 2015) was our cousin, daughter of Everett, and a beloved supporter of her family and Hill Farmstead. In her honor, this American session version of our Everett porter is crafted from American malted barley, English and German roasted malts, American hops, our ale yeast, water from our well, Coffee and lactose sugar. Chocolate, coffee, and light malty sweetness, this ale embodies her ebullient and generous spirit—a fitting tribute.

Enjoyed at the brewery, on nitro, on my first visit there for Easter weekend 2018. Pours a dark brown colour, cola-looking, with a super creamy head, very long lasting and nice lacing. Chocolate malt aromas with coffee notes and lactose. Creamy mouthfeel and smooth. Taste of roasted malts with some light dark fruits coffee hints lingering. A nice creamy light porter.
