6pk from the LCBO. Pours a big foamy white head and stays for the long haul. Thick and dirty lacing. Has a pale yellowish golden appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of grainy malts, a bit of corn, some mild grassy hops and some wheaty hints. Flavours are mostly grainy malt, very subtle citrus notes with much more grass and herbal hop notes in the finish. Nothing too crazy here and pretty easy going down. It's a nice little brew for the summer days.

Comes in a black-labelled can with a 5.0% ABV. written in it, from The Beer Store. Pours a clear golden colour with a big frothy (kind of creamy) off-white head, good retention with some nice creamy thin lacing. Typical cheap grainy-sweet malt nose with hints of soapy hops in the background. Medium-light body, very watery with hardly any carbonation. The taste is not too sweet with some mild cereal grains in the finish and very light hops in the aftertaste creating a little dryness. Not too bad overall for this "premium lager bier" as not much adjuncts found. Decent for the price.

Canned (as Henninger Premium Bier). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, slightly wooden, a bit marzipan as well as some saltwatery notes. Flavour is bready malts, some slight herbal notes as well as saltwatery and a bit bitter.

Pours a crisp golden with fluffy white head and excellent lace. Aroma of malts, hops, citrus, and spice. The mouthfeel is nothing impressive - thin and watery. Flavor of malts & hops. Average.

Hard to rate this beer. It basically looks like a budweiser. It pours light yellow with a white head. It has a sweet taste though and a decent mouthfeel. Overall not a bad beer but basis is still weak.

This is probably one of, if not the best German beers I've ever had. The taste is smooth and subtle, and there is no skunked smell or taste at all. I'm not a big fan of this style of beer in general, but I could drink this particular beer whenever it is served. Overall, a good mass-market beer.

This seems like a very basic German Lager, but the more often I have one of these the more I like it. I think simplicity is the key to this beer. Mild aroma, no "skunky" scents. This beer is nice to look at. Pours a vibrant light gold color with thin head,no lacing, and moderate carbonation. The mouthfeel is the biggest surprise to this one, sip after sip this beer is creamy and full. An unexpected thickness accompanies this lager as I swallow it. Flavor is mild and smooth with no surprises other than the fact that it tastes really good. Wonderful mass produced German Lager, I could drink this anytime.

A very good mass-distributed beer. I visited the Henninger-turm in sachsenhausen, their beers are very good, second only to their cross-town rivals at Roemer.

When I was in the Navy, I was stationed in Penscola FL for a few years. While there, I worked with a guy named Lance Henninger (a.k.a. "Big Bird"). He was a bit over-the-top, espcially with his huge antique beer-can collection, but good people. He told me about a beer that was actually named Henninger, and that he thought it was pretty good. Considering the fact that he used pound down case after case of Bud Dry at Toads 19th Hole each and every Friday, I didn't exactly take his beer opinions too seriously. Now, courtesy of Trader Joes selling individual single beers, I get the chance to taste this semi-mythical beer named after "Big Bird".
Green bottle. "Oh great: yet another skunked Euro-trash beer", I thought. But actually, this isn't all that horrible. A little hollow in the mouthfeel, but otherwise a basic, solid graininess that isn't repulsive.
Another Trader Joes single, well worth the $0.65 that I paid for it.

Lt gold color, mead/large head. A medium bodied lager, mild malts slightly sweet. Mild hops, slightly spicy. Mild taste. Nice mild flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is mostly neutral. Middle of the road lager
