Pours a clean amber colour with a beige head, average retention and some light lacing. Rye grain cereal smell with some sweetness, like caramel notes and hints of oranges. Spicy rye taste with some sweetness, but not syrupy, and a balance of hops to help this. Hints of oranges again, with coffee as well. Even some oak it seems, with vanilla. This is actually not bad at all. An interesting old fashioned strong rye beer.

Shared a 750ml bottle from LCBO with buddy Rob. Pours very little head, almost nothing at all really. No lacing. Has a dark amber/ruby appearance. Aromas of barley malts, rye, dark fruits. Flavours are caramel malt and quite prominent. Some sweet notes and a little bit of syrupy hints. Alcohol becomes more noticeable near the finish. Not bad overall.
