Poured a dark black with ruby highlights, a nice dark mocha head that fades slowly into a thin cap, very little lacing. The aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate and a very slight hint of smoke. The taste is of dark roasted malt, chard wood smoke, and a bitter dark coffee ending. The Mouthfeel is that of a medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth with a slight bitter after taste. Overall a nice drinking beer, however, it was lacking the smoke of a smoked beer.

Pours a barney black, medium head, low lacing .. . light roast and simple black malts, but almost no smoke, just light whiffs . .. a bit thin too, i lost interest when no smoke was detected ... . No no kind sir, you cannot fire me for I do not work here... I did bring my resume though...

Rich aroma is smoky with strong tones of sweet chocolate, molasses and quality coffee and hints of licorice and caramel. It pours a warm deep brown with a fairly thick fine-bubbled tan head. Delightful, smoky flavor has tones of caramel, chocolate, toffee and molasses with a bit of coffee. Texture is silky smooth and on the thick side, and leaves a nice tingle.

Nice find on beer haul from Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati. Big black pour with a slight head and sporadic lacing. Nice smoky malt aroma with slight nearly-burnt brown sugar, warming alcohol, roasted malts. Taste is nice and smoky with a rich malty base cut by the alcohol and slight bitter in the end. Big, rich, Smoky porter. Cool label. Recommended.
