Rich, malty, and complex with a surprisingly dry finish, this robust English-style porter is never cloying and wonderfully drinkable. A dense tan head portends the chocolate, roasty, brownie batter flavor. Marris otter barley imported from the UK imparts a deep nuttiness accentuated by the unique english yeast strain. The cheeky yeast generates subtle pear, apple and strawberry esters that gently contribute to the depth of flavor. The complex balance comes from imported UK target and fuggle hops, contributing earthy, herbaceous, tea-like notes. The result is a hefty brew that walks the fine line between eminent drinkability and overwhelming flavor impact

Pours opaque coffee brown with a rather thick dark tan head. Aroma has firm notes of roast malt, molasses, quality coffee and semi-sweet chocolate. Flavor exhibits all the notes of the aroma, only with a bit more sweetness and more emphasis on the chocolate, as well as a smoky undertone. Firm mouthfeel has some good fizz. Deep six one in your belly!

A deep dark ebony colored beer with a big frothy textured brown head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. It settles with a thin ringlet left. Roasted malt dominates the total profile. A thicker body than other porters I've had. Quite god
