500ml bottle, 5.7% ABV -
Picked up for $2 at BevMo. Beer pours out a light/straw yellow body, clear, visible carbonation in the body, 2" bright white head with quick dissipation. Aroma has a nice dried fruit kind of sweetness to it, almost like a peach & cream oatmeal packet. The flavor is a let down though, with a bland sweetness that seems to drift off into nothing. No hop bite, no grassy note...just kind of a fatty sweetness. Finish is a bit of wet dirt, quick though..nothing lingering. Not bad for $2, but hardly anything worth buying again. -

A strikingly decent beer with a nice clean taste. It has a pleasant aroma and it is served with a nice head. Flavour is not spectacular but it is decent.

Aroma is crisp and rather typical of a lager, nothing special, but not bad either. Color is a clear straw yellow; head is thick, frothy and white. Flavor is typical of a lager, but not watery the way a lot of lagers are. Texture is smooth and has a little tingle to it. Not great, but acceptable.

Canned, 6.0% (Harnas 12.1°). Dark golden colour, mediumsized head (white foamy). Sweet alcoholic malty aroma. Flavour has a big hoppy and malty peak, but otherwise it is a bit watery. Not that special.

An oddity, picked up in Clearwater FL, for something to sip on while in my hotel room in Downtown Tampa FL.
"Harnas Of Polish Highlanders"? What the heck is a Polish Highlander? And do they wear a funky hat, and carry axes around with them as they do the "Y" in the "Y.M.C.A" dance?
And the beer itself is also a bit odd, too. Darker than the typical Polish/Euro Lager -- almost dark to call itself a Vienna, or Amber Lager. The head seemed to disappear rather quickly, too....
A little on the sweet side of things, especially with the mouthfeel that has some cloyingness that hangs around perhaps a bit too long. Hints of cooked grains, or almost a granola aspect to it that hard to ping down. Honey Nut Cheerios? With some Sweet n' Low on top?
Maybe all that is a bit harsh. I didn't detest this beer. But it's really too thick and cloying and sweet for me to fall in love with it, that's for sure.
Grew rather bored with this rather quickly, to be honest. Something about the overall vibe of this beer just seemed "wrong" to me. Finished, under protest.
Not really sure what about this beer that bugged me, but something about just did not work very well for me. Next....
Music: Mesuggah's "I" (well, the first 9:32 of the 21:00 song....)

The aroma is typical to a strong lager with some grainy notes as well as some sweet malt with maybe some faint hoppiness and corn-like. The appearance is a deeper bronze yellow with a fuzzy head on top that diminishes to a light lacing and is bleach white in color. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with some decent malty complexity with a palate that is watery and a bit thin. The flavor is grainy, corny, malty, and has some sweetness with an aftertaste that is a bit metallic but at least pretty unoffensive with a finish that is nothing special. Overall, not a bad beer here and is at least drinkable; recommended brew I guess.

A good pour left a good head that I could see (as if in slow motion) go from big and froathy to thin and bubbly. Transparent. Typical aroma, a little more held back on the corn starch than others. Fairly clean actually. Mouthfeel is clean as well, carbonation under control. Ahh, aftertaste is where they hid the corn starch! A decent texture but I couldn't care much for the flavour. Good enough job at 6%! Head even left lacing, not bad. Not alot of comprimise in this one, to its credit.

500 ml bottle, in Poland. ABV is 6%. Deep golden colour, moderate head. Fruity hops aroma. Moderately malty flavour, drinkable but nothing spectacular.
