The beer is light gold in color with amber hues, lightly hazed, and a frothy off-white head which lasts into the next week. Lots of grains and herbs on the nose with hints of light citrus, and yeast. A bit thin on the tongue. The taste is grains, light herbal hops, a weak yeasty note.

This beer will be 600 years old soon, and personally I think it has stood the test of time. A beautiful medium gold colour with maybe be an inch of foamy white bubbles on top. Grains, weak floral hops, and spices dominate the aroma. The flavour is dominated by the grains and yeast with the hop flavour present mainly at the finish.

Clear dark yellow, off-white foam head. Typical araom and taste, although nice creamy texture indeed. Some fruit tones, still not a realy great beer. (Velp 201611)

Pours a hazy light-golden colour with a very slight amber hue. Nice frothy white head with great retention and creamy lacing. Toffee aromas with lots of fruits (oranges, dates), nutty and some dark malts like rye. Biscuit malt taste with light caramel and some decent fruits again. Yeasty mouthfeel, but not too tarty. Quite a good lager that is easy to drink, but has loads of character.

I realize that this beer will not be as good as it should be; the "local" beer store inadvertantly ages everything becasue of the slow product movement. Flipping the top was a great surprise as the last couple of beers from this brewer have had grey-sh brown sludge around the topper and the inside of the neck...this one popped and poured cleanly. Deep orangy opaque body with some very faint foam. Citrusy hops. A fresher sample probably has a great mouthfeel; I can taste the shadow of something wonderful. No off flavors, a bit watery tasting, pleasant to drink.

Hazy yellow color. Really much foam and there's even more coming all the time. Aroma is not very strong, but has some citrus and hops in it. Taste is really good and refreshing with some bread and wheat in it.

On tap at the Castle; Tapped a hazy clouded gold with a tight sticky 2 finger white cap that laced the glass in draining. Aroma was pungent bread dough aromas with some subtle honey-citrus and grassy wild botanical tones. Profile: sturdy bready malts in the front give a rich medium body and creamy mouth feel...ample German noble hops to balance; herbal-spicey tones...mid palate we get some of the complexity of an unfiltered full-of-life lager....hoppy bready sweetness is joined by the herbal bittering and some citrus-raisin tones....finish is crisp and a tad dry with medium bittering and a wonderful bread dough aftertaste. Impression: This tastes like my favorite Munich helles but much more full of life...fresh, rich malt and yeast flavours, bright crisp hopping...well balanced and drinkable...if this was on tap all the time at my local watering hole I'd rarely stray from it as a favorite session lager.

HAzy orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is wet old cellar, with malts and slight hops. Flavour is grassy, eartthy and malty. Slight hoppiness in finish. Not too exciting though...

slightly hazy golden-orange colour with a little foam but a nice lace; aroma of cheese and farm, oily with a clean and solid malt body, low bitterness, the finish is long with a biscuity maltiness
