wow...a 4.6 for an Octoberfest? Maybe I;m mising something, but it just wasn't that special. Nothing wrong with it, but not very exciting. The sweet malty notes are right on, and there's a delicate hop balance too. pretty good overall. 2012 a step up. Nice toasted caramel, toffee...great aftertaste.

Another great seasonal from the Reno boys who just can't brew a bad beer. Oh so sweet and malty, but very well balanced and not overly nutty which is a disappointing (to me) characteristic found in many Octoberfest brews. I bought 13 gallons and the last few pints did start to get a little redundant, but still an awesome beer.
