Gordon Biersch Hefeweizen

pours a dark yellow golden in color, with a massive, dense, and persistent white head. There is a moderate amount of suspended sediment.The lacing is thick and patchy. The aroma has lots of tart wheat and grapefruit rind hops, no banana notes, and only modest cloves. The taste is solid wheat malt from start to finish. Cloves are present, there is a banana note, but it is faint. Finishes with tart wheat, some very mild herbal hops, and a late wave of cloves. The mouthfeel is smooth and solid, very, very full.

Lots of wheat in this hefeweizen. Pours a beautiful hazy yellow colour with a huge frothy head that needed to settle several times before the mug was full. Banana and clove notes dominate the aroma with the wheat malt noticeable. Flavour is smooth and refreshing, with the perefect hint of sweetness balanced by the spiciness.

Newly available in my area and just hadda try it. Nice hefe, but slightly thin in the mouth. Requisite clove, banana, etc. Nice color and head. Smooth and drinkable.

Rocky, two finger head with a slightly cloudy appearance. Sweet, hoppy aroma with a sweet, strong wheat taste (bubblegum and wheat, specifically). Good, smooth mouthfeel. Lingering bitter finish.

Color is cloudy and yellow-brown, rather like honey; head is thick. Aroma has a strong citrus overtone and some wheaty scent. Taste is a very strong and pleasant hefeweizen taste, quite lemony with wheat and hoppy components. It goes down easily and is very pleasant to drink, with or without a wedge of lemon.

ok for a hefe, but they're still just not my preffered style. a little thin, but the flavor that is there is pretty nice...wheat, clove, banana, a little sweet. not bad.

For a Hefe, this isn't too bad. I felt the carbonation was a bit much. An overall average Hefe. A bit lighter so would be able to drink more of this at a time than others.

Pours a cloudy golden/amber color. Medium head with little lacing. Aroma is citrusy hops. I had this hefe without lemon in it. Very smooth mouthfeel. I thought it waas weird when one of the GB brewers told me it tastes like bubblegum, banana and cloves. Bubblegum? Banana and cloves I get. But there it was...some sweet flavor underneath, it wasnt just banana or citrus, it was...bubblegum. Good solid hefe that I've introduced friends to.

A cloudy yellow appearance with a large head. The aroma consists of lemons, bananas, and bread. The flavor is rather sour with a hint of bubblegum but the banana flavors running amuck. This is true to style sort of. Overall pretty good.

nice glass...very nice smellling bier....like banana bubblegum aroma...alittle thin for a hefe...sweet, with similar taste as aroma...easy going and refreshing..the winner of the bunch, that and the shwarz..
