Originally brewed in 1810, Oktoberfest Bier is steeped in tradition. Goose Island’s Oktoberfest is brewed in Chicago, but with the same time-honored methods and ingredients the German brewers used back at the first Oktoberfest Celebration almost 2 centuries ago. We use the best German and North American malts, noble German hops and pure lager yeast to produce this complex bottom fermented lager. A sweet maltiness domininates the palate. That’s followed by a clean, subtle hop finish. This is a season and a beer no true beer drinker will want to miss.

Pours clear, bubbly copper-golden with a fairly thick buff head. Aroma is on the weak side, but tempts with malty and caramel tones plus a bit of fruit. Flavor is more forthcoming, malt plus caramel, fruit (didn’t get any apricot, though), woody hops and cloves. Mouthfeel presents OK body and some good fizz. Prost!

pours a clear red amber with small white head with average retention and some spots of lace. The aroma is bready malts with a hint of herbal hops. The taste is bready caramel some plum light smoke and mild hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium with plenty of carbonation.

A bright amber colored beer.with a big frothy textured, cream colored head rising above. There’s good hang time on the head. A moderate ringlet and light dusting of a film are left. More grassiness earthiness in the nose. More bready sweetness in the tasting. Low carbonation full bodied.

This must be a newer version of there Oktoberfest, the alcohol is 6.4 according to the bottle. Nice amber color, light top and carbonation. The Aroma is great ,and the flavor is Outstanding. I bought a sixer of this and when i got home and read Dried Apricot and Toffee i was not sure. This has really changed my mind on the Apricot notes, well done Gentlemen.

Poured from the bottle, it poured a clear brwon-copper with an off-white creamy head. Aroma had mild toasted malt smell to it. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated. Simple, but well-made and nice."

This is a good beer. I would call it a good oktoberfest too. Thick pour with a thick long lasting foam head. Mouthfeel is syrupy. Taste is of sweet marzen and grain. Clean finish.

A slightly above average Octoberfest and offering from Goose Island. pours a clear amber/coppoer with a rich head that disapated quickly and left little lacing. Medium to thin in the mouth with a respectable, albeit average flavor of roasted malts. Decent clean finish.

Nice Oktoberfest beer with a slightly overpowering bitterness to it. It has a nice dark copper color with solid head. More of a caramel taste to it than toffee.

Sweet malty aroma with a sharp hoppy nose. Dark bronze pour with a nice off white head and lots of lacing. Mouthfeel is crisp yet not full enough to reflect the abundent aroma and powerful flavor. Goose Island once again finds a wonderful blend of sweet creamy malts and complimentary hops in this brew. A nice all around quality here, fine example.
