Madame Rose is a crimson colored Belgian style brown ale fermented with wild yeast and aged on cherries in wine barrels. Layers of malty complexity, sour cherry, spice and wood notes make Madame Rose an ideal beer to suggest to Bordeaux enthusiasts and beer drinkers fond of Belgian Kriek and Flanders Brown Ales.

Very sour cherry. A perfect compliment to a decadent piece of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. One of the better sour beers I have tasted. Thank you FoamDome for sharing.

Come out of the tap an opaque chocolate brown with a fine-bubbled light tan head. Aroma has firm bourbon, malty and woody notes to it. Bourbon and sharp apple tones dominate the scrumptious flavor that has a nice caramel hint. Smooth, fairly firm mouthfeel is somewhat fizzy.

Gotta agree w Cory on this one - textbook Oud bruin. Kinda surprised me with its presentation. Lots of oak, funk and cherries, but definitely more Flanders than kriek. The best gi beer not named bourbon county or king Henry. Fantastic sour.

Redish brown pour with an off white head. Funky aromas of sour cherries and vinegar. Highly acidic mouthfeel with a good bit of sweetness. Vinegary flavors with underripe tart cherries make this quite a nice sipper. It's well executed but not top tier.

A wild cherry smell, touches of sourness. Pours a deep cherry color with fizzy but minimal head. Flavor is quite light but lively. Not really any one flavor dominates, the cherry works well with the sour and its very clean and refreshing in the finish.

22oz bottle .. pours a maroon tan .. . big bubbly head, spermy lacing .. . some cherry, a touch of raspberry and pits .. . pretty good stuff but needs a touch more to make it exceptional

Another well thought out and executed Belgian style from Goose Island. A crimson brown pour with a filmy head and bands of lacing. Awesome fruity and tart aroma to help get the palate excited. Clean and wonderfully tart with a solid berry fruitiness and mild funk. Great offering.
