Clear orange brown with small off-white foam head, lacing. Quite sparkling. Aroma is sour, sour apple, unripe cherry. Taste is refreshing, crisp. (Velp 201305)

A decent faro I guess. A tart fruity reddish beer with a thin white cap and highly efferevescent. A champagny mouthfeel compounds the wickedness. I'll pass on another.

Bottle: Poured a light reddish/brown color lambic with a big foamy off-white head with limited retention. Aroma is quite funky with limited tartness and acidity which was a bit disappointing. Taste was similar to the gueuze but as if the tartness and acidity had been removed and replace with light sugary notes. Body was a bit too light with some good carbonation. I find it always interesting too try those traditional examples but this one really miss the mark.

Dark rubyish brown colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel and a lot of sourness. Flavour is the same with some malty and fruity hints. Also slight metallicness noted.

Poured a red amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of butterscotch, nuts, caramel, wood, and light oxidation. Taste of brown sugar, with more caramel, nuts, light wood, with citrus, and a tart, bretty finish.

(sampled from a "Bag in box" at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden)Amber, no head. Sweet, fruity and a bit unclean aroma. Sweet and vinous flavour. Some hard to define fruitiness. rather unclean and finish of vinegar and sugar.

Pours with a slightly hazy golden body topped by a medium thick, white head with some lacing. It’s sweet with a touch of sourness and a little bitterness and some underlying horseblanket. Light to medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

Bottle, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. My first faro. Clear brown colour, caramel and barnyard in the aroma. Flavour is sour and sweet, hints of Norwegian "Flux Soda" soft drink. Hints of dark crab meat(!) too.
