Decadent and complex while remaining wholly refreshing and drinkable. This Stout is brewed with Milk Sugars and Chocolate to give rich flavours and body that goes down smooth. Taste of Chocolate and smooth mouthfeel, due to the additions of Dark Chocolate and Milk Sugars ( Lactose ) respectively. While dark, rich and decadent this beer finds balance and subtely in its lightness and drinkability. Great for matching with sweeter dishes and intense desserts.

280 ml, on tap at the ICBF, Dublin 09/14. Poured in a session glass an almost opaque and dark with reddish tones coloured M S with a minimum tan foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is intense roasted coffee beans, roasted malts, big black chocolate. The flavour is solid roasted malts, coffee beans, black chocolate, dried fruits, raisins, hazelnuts, bitter and light burnt notes. The mouthfeel is clean, creamy and very smooth. The texture is watery. This light bodied Milk Stout has a dry roasted malts finish. Easy drinkable, a super well flavoured and balanced Stout from the young Galway Bay Brewery. Delicious, I like it !
