Enjoyed at the brewpub in Halifax. Pours a dark brown colour with a beige creamy head, good retention and some creamy lacing. Fruity nose with roasted malts and a little smokiness. More roasted malts in the taste with some nice grass in the finish. Whiskey and fruits are not as apparent, but do come out with time. Mild tarty mouthfeel. A nice brew overall, but a little too rich to have another.
