When the yeast is added to the wort the fermentation process begins. Most regular beers convert approximately 80 % of the original wort into alcohol and CO2. At Fürstenberg approximately 84% of the wort ferments. Due to this higher fermentation level more sugar is turned into alcohol.

Clear yellow, white lacing foam head. Typical pilsener aroma and taste, not strong, not outspoken. Decent drinking beer and nothing more I can make of the score. (Velp 201610)

Waaaaay wayway too much crap floating around in my glass after the pour. Has a very weak pale yellow colour. Good sized thick white crown with decent retention and ok lacing. The aroma is average with its dry wheat, touch of sweetness and slight skunk. There is a good ammount of flavour to be had here. Wheaty, strong malts and mild but tasty hops with good bitterness. Light to light medium bodied. Has a wheaty middle and an initial sharp bitterness that fades quickly.

Can: Poured a pale yellow color pils with a big bubbly white head with average retention. Aroma of grassy malt is pleasant but a bit weak overall. Taste of semi-sweet malt with low hops level makes this beer rather boring. I’m not even sure if this is a pilsner by name only as it tends to taste and smells like a pale lager to me.

Second pilsener of the night. Purchased at the SAQ in front of the casino in Hull, Quebec. Pours a light golden colour with a white frothy head that stays a while and runs off some good lacing. Boring aromas of mild malt and hop (I almost smell corn). Same for the taste and mouthfeel. Boring. Very close to the Veltins Pilsener I just had before, but this is worst (except for the appearance).

Comes in a great looking can that unfortunately does not support the contents. Not the best of German beers but at least not the worst, just sub-par. Colour was an okay medium gold with a smallish white head which left no lacing. Aroma was VERY lightly hopped, and the taste while adequately hopped and not weak, felt somewhat "thin" at the same time.

Pilsner looking with slim white head. Fruity, grassy, herby, malty aroma. Mild flavoured, lightly sweet, grainy, sweet malts. Light bodied. Average fare.

If i did not already know what Shiner and buttwiper tasted like this would be the worst. Thsi bier would make an Amerikan micro brewery proud, but that is about all. Deutsch at its worst. Miss it!
