Our search for the finest cocoa nibs brought us to the far corners of the earth. We tried them all: raw nibs from Guatemala; roasted jewels from the West Indies. But the most potent, intensely chocolatey ones we found hailed from the far-away reaches of Brazil. But there was one problem. We had to get them back. So with sacks in tow, we stole away with those precious nibs and smuggled them, along with fragrant Madagascar vanilla beans, deep into the reaches of a pitch black milk porter. And so, Nib Smuggler Chocolate Milk Porter was born.

Pours coffee brown with a thin light tan head. Aroma features strong notes of cocoa and roast malt, and a hint of molasses. Flavor presents roast malt, cocoa, molasses, and a snippet of coffee. Body is firm, though fizz is fair to middlin’. Smuggle one down your pipes.

Yeah....forgot this was a porter while I was drinking it. Very heavy on the chocolate (on the bitter/dark chocolate side), super sweet, with extra lactose in there. I was thinking this was a sweet/milk stout, but a "milk porter" makes sense. Dark black appearance. Not much head and on the flatter-feel side. Has some density and filling like an IPS, but only around 6%. A single of this was enough for me, as it's quite pricey.

Pours out a deep dark murky brown with a nice tan head. The aroma is all chocolate. The mouthfeel is good and thick. The taste is chocolate, malt and mild vanilla. I'm pretty surprised by this one.

Wow factor. A dark brown, nearly black colored beer with a big creamy textured light tan head rising above. There's great hang time on the head. A thick ringlet is left behind. Creamy milkiness in the nose. Chocolate nibs dance out in the tasting. Like drinking chocolate milk. Thick and creamy body. Beautiful brew.
