At World of Beer, Key West. Orange pour, with red tones from the blood oranges. Foamy off-white head. Citrus aroma where the blood orange was obvious. Solid mouth. Blood orange notes in the flavour as well, along with some caramel. Bitter finish. Better (to me) than this same brewer's Hop Gun. I'd gladly have this one again.

Not quite a fruit beer, not quite a sour...so almost like a hybrid of those with an IPA. The blood orange gives it tart/sour citrus notes, but sort of offsets the bitterness from the grapefruity hop flavors. Also seems like a strain of yeast (Belgian?) that gives it some wheat characteristics...in flavor and feel. Definitely a unique beer, though seems a little over-rated.

A deep blood red orange colored beer with a big sudsy off white head rising above. There's some hang time in the head. a thin ringlet and small bubbles of film are left. Light nose, but bolder in the tasting. The tart citric hoppiness is beautifully balanced by sweet orange. Light, crisp and deliciously refreshing.
