Summer time, you've met your match. Blueberry Cobbler ale is a copiously blueberried glass of goodness, generously dosed with real vanilla beans, quality imported cinnamon, and blueberries. It's purple, not because we add coloring, but because we use blueberries. Imagine that. A sip is akin to a bite of fresh baked blueberry pie, calling your name ever-so-gently as it cools on the window. Well, this time you can sneak a glass. Go ahead. We won't tell.

I think the aroma may be the best part here. Near spot on with the spices and smells of freshly baked blueberry cobbler. The flavor is where things start to get interesting. Those same spices can be tasted up front, but the finish is quite tart and sour. I was expecting a heavier bodied ale...possibly unfiltered a bit, but this has a clearish light amber appearance. Glad that I finally got to try, but didn't quite fall in love with this beer....especially for the price.

Funky Buddha has a reputation of making unique, seemingly strange beers. This one is no different. It starts with an amber colored. A big frothy textured, white head rises above. There's great hang time on this head. A nice lacing of film, ringlet and light cap are left. The bestt way to describe this beer in it’s total profile, as intense in the nose as it is in tasting is think of putting a baked cobbler in the mash of a beer. I liked this one. Light, crisp and refreshing.
