Deep amber in colour, the pale ale optic malts in the brew gives this beer lots of raisin and caramel flavours that leave a satisfying, soothing flavour on the palate.

Draught@Kitty’s, Helsinki. Deep ambery brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is varamel malts, some slight wooden notes as well as mild grains. Flavour is at first wooden but gets a huge kick of licorice, which hides pretty much the other stuff. Mild spicyness as well. Very pleasant and different though. 7 8 6 8 8
Cask in 2005, unsure if I had it in Stockholm or Helsinki, as this is between Stockholm marked notes and a Helsinki trip in the autumn 2005. Nutbrown colour with minor head. Aroma is yeast, hops as well as some mild nuts. Flavour is nuttyness as well as some grassy hops. Dry palate. Probably left unrated in the times, as my notes say Fullers Sir Harry and marked 5%... 6 6 6 6 6 -

On tap: Clear deep chestnut colors with rich ruby highlights and a 2 finger tan cap that lasts and laces up the pint glass. As this beer warms you get the wonderful aroma of sweet brown caramel malt, ripe fruits and hint of grass Front side floods the palate with rich brown caramel malts, some nuttines, some dark fruit, then the balance comes in with a sharp resinous bittering from long-boil targets that carries through to dry and bitter the finish and leave a metallic bitter after taste. A primo ESB very delicious and satisfying

A very nice beer from Fullers. Enjoyed at Mahar's 20th annivarsary. I think this is the first keg imported into the states. A nice session beer. Nice amber color, small head, slight nutty taste and a nice English Bitter. Enjoy!

Hazy dark amber with a low creamy head. Dry and hoppy aroma of nuts, earth and toffee. Hoppy flavour of grass, nuts, paint, earth and metal with sweet undertones of caramel and toffee. Bitter and nutty aftertaste. Quite good.

Cask handpump at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Quite dark amber coloured with a creamy white head and very good lacing. Flavour is fruity, malty, caramel with some hops. Full bodied. Very good stuff.

Bottle, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. This is an autumn seasonal from Fullers. Clear amber colour. Citrus and nuts in the aroma. Nutty flavour and aftertaste. Not bad for a pasteurised bitter.
