Clear golden yellow with white foam head. Aroma is quite hoppy, so is taste. Nice beer, I like it, especially when it is warm. Aftertaste is short but nice bitter. (Velp 201307)

The LCBO got a bunch of different Fuller's this Christmas, and this is one of them. Pours a golden-amber colour with a big frothy off-white head that stays a long time and leaves foamy lace. Decent hoppy nose that is mild with grapefruits. Slightly dry mouthfeel well-balanced with a little wetness to make this one refreshing. Lightly bitter taste at first, then heading to the rusty water taste that I do not like. Thankfully, after a few sips... it seems to disappear and the light hop taste stays the whole way. A nice easy-drinking English IPA that is well-brewed for hoppier sessions.

One of the 6 beers brought in as part of the Fuller's release at the LCBO. A perfect styled English IPA ()they did after all invent the style). Americans might consider this to be underhopped, but that 'underhopping' creates a nice balance between the malt and hops.

Bottle conditioned, 500 ml. ABV is 5.3%. Bought in Sweden at Systembolaget. BB date 23/Mar/11. Deep golden colour, big to moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of hops, wood and rum-raisin. Lovely flavour, very well balanced between a distinct malty and fruity sweetness and equally distinct hops. Just the right bitterness in the finish. Brilliant stuff.

slightly fruity and sweet, slightly grassy, and light bodied and gently bitter at the swallow. not generally the style of ipa i gravitate towards, but not bad either.

Bottle Conditioned (5.3 %) (thanks omhper!). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is wood, some mild notes of yeast and fruits as well. Also some slight toasted notes. Flavour is liquorice, spices, grassy hops and mild toffeeishness. Also a certain dose of the semiearthy Fuller’s house flavour. 6 6 6 7 7.
Bottled (Pasteurised, 4.8%). Draught@Hadanka, Helsinki. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity and hoppy along with some slight grassy notes. Flavour is very fruity and quite pleasantly balanced. Nice grassy fruity finish. 7 6 6 8 7
Cask conditioned (4.8%). Orangeish golden colour with small foamy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel malts, fruity and floral hopss along with some wooden notes. Flavour is quite much the same. The maltyness is rather strong. 7 8 6 7 7 -

Medium gold color, large head. Slightly malty aroma. A mildly malty and not very hoppy IPA. This is a British style IPA so the hops are very subdued. Tastes are mild. There is a little bit of a floral flavor in the taste. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Bottle. Smells like oranges, caramel ad nutmeg. Has a dark copper color with a little bit of scum for head. Light taste of moss, soy sauce, pine and some oak. An ok IPA that has a decent mat balance. Like other British IPA’s I have had, it is too light with the hops.

Poured into the glass a nice tasty bright brown , very nice indeed..small head , which lingered down to the bottom of my glass. Smell was not too strong//slighy toffee scent even a slight hint of coffee! Good taste hits the spot! Iv'e had other IPAs with too much taste ..this is nice stays but doesnt linger to long. Feels very good in the mouth. Very drinkable indeed..if not too cold.
