Coffee black with thin cap. Nice smoky coffee, nut, toast, and chocolate aromas with no acidity. Sweet smoke flavor without extremity... Cocoa, nuttiness. Excellent. This is one I'd be happy drinking everyday. Tingly but fine bubbles, not too heavy, a wee bit of stickiness. Would be very versatile accompanying food or used in recipes. Solid.

Pitch black with a beige head. Aroma contains a good dose of coffee and chocolate. The flavor has an espresso like characer with some dark chocolate and licorice. This is very bitter and delicious. Holy crap is this amazing. The finish is like eating dark chocolate covered coffee beans then comes the milk. Im floored by how good this is.

Pours a slightly reddish sable with a decent, if not too persistent, tan head. Aroma is strong and oily with smoky, nutty and semi-sweet chocolate tones - very appealing. Smoky flavor has tones of coffee, unsweet chocolate, nuts and oak. Texture is smooth, fizzy and grainy, not as thick as a stout but still pleasing. Look for it.

On tap @ Bearden Beer Market: Black pour with an ample creamy tan head and nice lacing throughout. Roasted malts and coffee aroma with slight cocoa and light hops. Very rich taste for a porter with big toasted malts and coffee flavor. Nice finish. This is a very nice porter indeed.
