Strong, rich aroma has notes of caramel, horehound, roast malt and quality coffee plus just a snip of semi-sweet chocolate. It pours a clear sienna, with not much head - but this may be because my sample was the dregs of the keg. Robust flavor has a core of roast malt and notes of caramel and horehound plus a hint of honey sweetness. Texture is firm and smooth, though lacking in fizz - but I'll give it a break because, as I said, this was the last squirt from the keg. Maybe next autumn I'll get a better sample.

Bottle from BeerandBlues2. Pour was orangey brown, ok head and lacing. The aroma was nice rounds of rauch and choco-dark fruits underneath. The flavor followed, but the rauch was meaty-baconey with an off-ness of bandaids that became annoying after a while. Otherwise, the underneath bready, earthy, caramel w/ smoke was quite nice. Thanks, Brad!
