Our first coffee porter has nice light chocolate notes behind the fresh-roasted coffee flavour, and features beans roasted by our own Steve Nazarian, who is also owner of the First Crack Coffee Company.

A dark brown pour with black edges and a weak bubbly brown head. Lots of roasted malt with coffee and dark fruits in the aroma. The flavour is roasted malt, bitter coffee, and dark chocolate. Quite dry for a porter.

Dark brown pour with a great initial appearance that doesn't hold form long enough. Aroma has some mild malt roastiness, coffee and toffee. Flavour is very one dimensional with coffee way out ahead of background kipper. Heat it up in the morning with cream and it might rate higher.

This coffee porter pours a cola-like look with a big warm-beige head that stays long and creates decent creamy lacing. The aromas have lots of herbal hops over the roasted malts and coffee notes. The taste is pretty much the same with some nice dryness in the finish from the hops. Roasted malts and the coffee is kind of mild overall. I think I might prefer the Mill Street version as the coffee is more present.

Pours a fairly big frothy, creamy brownish head but dissipates to a thin bubbly coating. Has a deep, dark amber appearance. Decent sticky lacing. Has some pretty strong coffee aromas right off the bat. Flavours of roasted barley malts, earthy hops and a bit of vanilla hints. Has a nice smooth and slick mouthfeel. Good retention. Lively carbonation.
