You might be surprised to learn this beer has an estimated hop rating of over 50 IBUs. But beneath a bold, velvety malt base is a clean, refreshing hop character that belies any category. Magnum and Centennial hops provide the bittering with Golding used as the finishing hops. Flying Monkey’s classic top fermenting yeast clears the way for a hop finish the lingers after the roasted barley flavor fades. Poured from a bottle to a lovely dark brown color that is about as close to black as you could get. Had a very nice head retion that last throughout drink. The aroma was an earthy malt with note of a spicy hop flavor. The taste is very full and I'm sorry to say surprising. This to me is very full of rich malt and an awesome hop finish. This beer might be the best beer I've ever had for 4.99 a SIX PACK!!! Bravo Flying Monkey!

Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a light brown head. Strong lacing. Nice full mouthfeel. Aroma is a nice and malty with a hint of smoke to it. Flavor is rich and smokey. Nice maltiness to it with a hoppy kick. Not a bad offering.
