Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

The first drink of this was pretty average. Then I shook the hell out of last two ounces in the bottle. That was the trick, stirring up all the yeast in the bottom. Still a pretty thin beer but now I can taste banana and the cloves.

Clear amber with a thin cap quickly dissolving into a ring. Sweet scents of banana, juicy apple, hints of caramel and clove. The initial flavor is the apple juice, followed quickly by banana that fades into mild and cleansing yet very mild spice. Tingly yet smooth, wet and yet a little sticky. I didn't know what to expect, but I didn't expect this. I like it a lot.

Hazy golden yellow with lasting white foam head, lacing. Aroma is bit weak, wheat and citrus. Taste starts off wear, turning into more citrus taste over time. (Velp 201305)

A German style hefeweizen brewed in Maryland, how quaint! This beer falls short of it's German counterparts however....not enough banana and clove to begin with, and the wheat seems off as well. It is refreshing if not outstanding.

another non-descipt wheat ale, better than some, but absolutely nothing that stands out. some weakish bubble gum, clove, and banana flavors. did nothin for me.

Pretty basic hefe... hazy straw colored body with an ample white head. Banana, clove and citrus aroma - same for flavor. Medium bodied. Non-hateful hefe, but not worth going out of your way for.

Orange/dark yellow pour with a thick white head. Lacing sticking to the glass. Smell of wheat, clove, and bananas. Flavor has a bit of spice to it, banana, and wheat flavor. Not bad.

355 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Also available in some Norwegian grocery stores. Hazy pale golden colour, big white head. Typical hefeweizen aroma of ripe bananas and cloves. The flavour also has notes of ripe bananas and cloves, medium sweet, soft mouthfeel, very drinkable, low bitterness. A good hefeweizen - no more, no less.

Pours a hazy straw-yellow, a modest head vanishes quickly, with short-lived lacing. Banana leads the nose, sweet malt base and a hint of citrusy tang. Flavor is dominantly wheat and malt, with undertones of banana, tart orange and a dash of pepper. Mouthfeel is smooth but thin for the style. Overall, it's a tasty, easydrinking beer, but too soft-spoken for a hefeweizen.

Pours out in a hazy golden colour with a small creamy white foam. Mild banana esters in the aroma with notes of cloves and straw. Light-bodied with flavours of over-riped banana with hints of cloves and grass. Low bitterness. Short finish of sweet banana and red plums.
