The beer is black, but not very dark. Beige foamy head on top, that dosent retain well at all no lace. The aroma is roasted malts, some light notes of chocolate. In the mouth the beer taste is coffee grains with a hoppy finish. Intense in the taste if you compare with the aroma which was in the low intensity. Mouthfeel is quite effervescent. Some piny notes, in the, as the beer warms a little bit.

Bottle courtesy of stoutlover. Shared at KnoxBeerCrew tasting. Dark leather brown/near black pour, tan head, nice lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, light molasses, some dark chocolates, very light smoke, some caramels and light toffee. Mouthfeel is very smooth. Taste is mild with a nice toasted malt and dark chocolate flavor, some brown sugar and dark caramels, light smoke and java. Tasty for sure - thanks Garrett!

Sampled from bottle. Pours very dark brown with a lasting tan head. Pleasant cocoa, toast aroma. Both spot on for the style. The flavor seems to reveal patent malt. Just a hint though. After that, I get some dark berries. Nice. Low FG and very drinkable.

Pours almost black with small, creamy head. Vanilla, oak, and coffee share center stage in the aroma profile. The base flavor is roasty-dry with coffee and spice. It finishes a little fruity, which throws off the aftertaste in my opinion. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Enjoyable beer overall.

Bought at Lukas Liquors in KC .. . Pours a deep brown black, strong foam- sticky lacing .. . good roast presence, tar and burnt molasses .. . this beer has a lot of character and girth while being smooth as a new bowling ball, a fantastic brew! .. . If elected mayor, my first act will be to kill the whole lot of you and burn your town to cinders.

Roasted malt aroma with buttery toast. Brown 1/2" head with spotty lacing. Clean and medium bodied along with a mild sweetness. Text book flavor per style. Malt forward with toffee, toast, chocolate and noble hops to keep the balance. Classic, simple yet almost perfectly executed.

Pours dark brown with a healthy tan head. Mild pine and citrus aroma with dark sweet malt behind it. Pretty hoppy for a porter. Medium body with a bitter roughness to it. Starts sweet with toffee and eventually turns to a bitter finish. A good porter but nothing stood out.

Just alright for me, pours black with a low thin tan head. Malty sweet mouthfeel kind of thin. Flavors of roasted coffee but all in all a smidge watery.

Aroma is a very lite Coffee with a roasty back. Pours a a nice dark brown with some head. Fantastic medium body with a very balanced carbonation and very smooth and clean finish. Flavor was mild coffee tones with some roasty malt and Black Tea.

smooth beer! compared to the 3 crappy to pretty good porters we had over the last couple days, this one was great. Very nice hop aroma, but the nose was lacking the roasted malt/chocolate. They were present in the flavor a little more, with a light hop balance, which was nice. Aain, really smooth. Better than any other Firestone beer I've had.
