Oaktoberfest is a true German Marzen bier brewed with premium imported Pilsner and Vienna malts and is spiced with Bavarian hop from the mother land. Light Amber in color, soft malty profile, full bodied lager beer. Fermented with the famous Bavarian Augustiner Lager yeast from Munich. Beer tasting at Rockwell Bar & Grill. Clear dark yellow. Aroma is kind of sweet, some orange. Taste is quite sweet. Aftertaste is lasting, turning bit barley. (Houston 201310)

On tap at 10 East. Absolutely awful. Corn/masa in the aroma, corn chips on the flavor. I know that corn is a bountiful harvest in the Fall, and this is a beer brewed for the Fall season but this was absolutely awful. Might just be the worst Firestone Walker beer I've had to date. A very strange beer.

Not sure why it's called OAKtoberfest... no oak aging evident or mentioned here. It is, however, a solid rendition of the style...toasty malty goodness. Light, but has some layers to the flavor. Fall - c'mon down.
